Conservation Skills

“Spot the Pest Plant” and learn the skills you need to free the trees in your own backyard. This is a day of hands-on conservation skill building. You’ll learn plant identification, methods of pest plant control, use of tools and herbicides, health and safety in the field and a whole range of other skills to amplify the effects of your work. Whether you’re a householder, community volunteer or a professional seeking to up your game, this workshop is for you.

Nature Connection

Rejuvenate your mind and body during a special nature connection walk. Practice a range of techniques drawn from Japan and supported by science. You will boost your immune system, lower the stress hormone cortisol and engage the areas of your brain associated with focus, creativity and empathy. Best of all, you can apply these skills at work and home. This is a two hour walk over easy terrain and suitable for participants of all levels of fitness and experience.

Survival Skills

Picture this: a simple day hike is turning into your worst nightmare. The sun is setting, your phone is dead and you’re miles away from the nearest coffee shop. You need to make the decisions that will keep you alive until you’re rescued. This half day workshop will give you the tools and knowledge to stay physically and mentally safe if the worst happens, and how to avoid getting into deeper trouble. Suitable for walkers of all levels and for conservation field crew who work in remote locations.
